Dave Niehaus who called the shots for the Seattle Mariners on the radio from 1977-2011 gets a tribute song done for him by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis in 2011 just days after his passing this song that wasn't evan a thought letta lone an idea written down to paper became a reality!
THIS JUST IN FROM SEATTLE MUSIC HISTORY! A lot of you know that these two Seattleites recently won 4 Grammy's at the 2014 annual music award show! I have included a song/video of theirs with this post; it's a tribute to Dave Niehuas the Seattle Mariners Color Commentator since day one of The Mariners inception to The Major Leagues back in 1977! They did this song titled "MY OH MY" back in 2011 after Dave Niehaus suddenly passed away due to heart complications. At a celebration of life ceremony at our baseball stadium; Safeco Field was full of fan's paying homage to one of The City of Seattle's Biggest Celebrities Ever! Niehaus through the power of communication could bring you to the stadium via radio waves and you would feel like you were in the front row sitting next to the man himself! The title of the track "MY OH MY" is a staple phrase Dave used during his tenure with the Mariners whenever an incredible play was made! the video above is an interview done in New York City with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis back in 2012!
